I was the Abominable Bride
& you were
an icon of the miraculous
One of us had to go
But I only wanted to give you
a light maiming
& some mouth opera
when you came tilting at me
with your crimson biggie
On the Horn of the Moon
I’m breaking dawn’s pink fingers
one by one
Your axeblades
still stuck in my back
like wings
I fly out over
our still-moldering swamp
